Short Description

The BioSorter® (Union Biometrica), is designed for flow-cytometric analysis and sorting of objects ranging in size from
1 – 1500 µm.

Unlike traditional cytometers, it gives the opportunity to investigate viable multicellular organisms, cell clusters, bead-based libraries and other samples that are too large and fragile for standard flow-cytometry.

Some examples of application areas: Embryoid Bodies, Spheroids & Organoids, C. elegans, Zebrafish, Arabidopsis seeds etc.

Parameters, that can be analyzed, are the relative axial length (TOF, Time of flight), the optical density (EXT, Extinction) and fluorescent emission.
