Short Description
Gas chromatograph with FPD (Flame Photometric Detector) and TCD (Thermal Conductivity Detector) from Perkin Elmer.
The Clarus 500 GC is a stationary measuring device that enables both qualitative and quantitative analysis of gas components (Ar/O₂/N₂/CO/CO₂/CH₄/C₂H₄/C₂H₆/C₃H₆ and C₃H₈) using gas chromatography. Furthermore the device is capable of analyzing simple sulfur compounds such as H₂S or COS in the ppm range.
Measurements are performed using both an FPD and a TCD, with control and data processing carried out via a PC running the TotalChrom software. This software provides full control of the instrument and enables continuous and fully automated measurements, if desired. The GC is configured exclusively for gaseous samples. It allows for analysis across a wide measuring range — down to single-digit percent levels for the gas components, and down to a few parts per million (ppm) for the sulfur compounds.
