Short Description

Transmission, reflection, emission and photo conductivity measurements in the spectral range between 20µm and 0.5µm are possible in a straightforward way. Over this spectral range, a resolution of 0.2 Wavenumbers/cm can be achieved. For low temperature experiments down to 10K, cryogentic equipment is available. In addition to the fast-scan operation modus, in which, in order to increase the signal to noise ratio, the instrument averages over many interferograms, each measured in short time, a step-scan operation modus is available. In this modus, highly sensitve measurements are possible, if the optical properties of a sample can be modulated by an external stimulus and this modulation is isolated from the detector signal of the spectrometer by lock-in techniques.
