Methods & Expertise for Research Infrastructure
The storage capacity of the meteorology cluster has been further expanded and now offers scientists significantly more space for storing their results. The global file system enables distributed work on all computing nodes and is a good compromise between IO throughput and costs.
The infrastructure is available to all scientific users in cooperation with the Institute of Meteorology and Geophysics.
