Excitation Filters 352-404 / 460-488 / 542-566 / 626-644 / 721-749
Penta Band Dichroic Mirror 409 / 493 / 573 / 562 / 759
Emission Filters 414-450 / 500-530 / 579-611 / 659-701 / 768- 850
True color LED technology allows for reproducible, high fidelity acquisition of histological stains. The combination of a high quantum efficiency camera with a specialized fast filter wheel setup allows for a fast acquisition of fluorescent multi labeled slides. Further, the scanner is equipped with a 60x silicon immersion long working distance objective allowing for acquisitions of up to 300um in z axis. Files can either be exported directly as .svs files or if desired as .tif for ease of analysis. Up to 6 Slides can be loaded simultaneously for a batch acquisition, with any combination of acquisition methods within the same run. Can read barcodes.

Methods & Expertise for Research Infrastructure

The institute has expertise in fluorescence multi labeling approaches to study cellular, and structural composition of tissues. For the analysis we exclusively employ automated software solutions designed to specially fit the individual research question aiming to improve quality as well as throughput and reduce human bias. To further our understanding about tissue composition we can employ advanced tomographic imaging, if necessary in addition to tissue clearing, and reconstruction based on structural features.
