Short Description
The Open Research Data Infrastructure Lab (ORDI Lab) at Johannes Kepler University Linz serves as the central interface for social science research infrastructures at JKU. It brings together and coordinates services in empirical social research, research data management, data collection, data archiving, and the provision and reuse of research data.
The ORDI Lab serves as a platform for initiating, conducting, and connecting social science research projects and programmes and collaborates with regional, national, and international partners. In this role, it links basic research, applied research, and research infrastructure development.
At JKU, the ORDI Lab is responsible for the local coordination, implementation, and support of activities related to AUSSDA, the Austrian partner of CESSDA ERIC, as well as the European Open Science Cloud (EOSC). In addition, it represents JKU in Austria’s participation in the Generations and Gender Programme (GGP.at) and in the Austrian implementation of the International Social Survey Programme, the Austrian Social Survey (ISSP/SSÖ).
The infrastructure is particularly aimed at researchers who collect, document, archive, provide, or reuse social science data and who require institutional, methodological, or infrastructural support.
