Short Description

The CeMM Research Center for Molecular Medicine of the Austrian Academy of Sciences offers a world-class mass spectrometry and proteomics department with technical and bioinformatics expertise.

Research Services

Due to the critical nature of the mass spectrometry, the facility has been designed to the highest standards with individual cubicles per machine, maintaining a constant temperature with minimal variation. The HVAC (Heating, Ventilation and Cooling) system runs with N+1 redundancy to maintain operation at all times and the room layouts are also designed to reduce noise and vibrations. The machines run 24/7.

Methods & Expertise for Research Infrastructure

Protein-protein interactions to generate comprehensive protein interactomes.
Drug-protein interactions.
Quantitative expression proteomics for the relative and comparative quantitative analysis of global proteomes.
Monitoring the role of post-translational modifications in cell signalling pathways.

Terms of Use

One Thermo Scientific Orbitrap Velos and one Thermo Scientific Q Exactive Standard MS system, both with Agilent Technologies 1200 Series HPLC systems are available as part of the fee-per-service resources at CeMM or through collaborative projects.
