Open for Collaboration

Short Description

Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) is a technique which is used to obtain an infrared spectrum of absorption or emission of a solid, liquid or gas. An FTIR spectrometer simultaneously collects high spectral resolution data over a wide spectral range. This confers a significant advantage over a dispersive spectrometer which measures intensity over a narrow range of wavelengths at a time.

Methods & Expertise for Research Infrastructure

The PerkinElmer Spectrum 100 Series FT-IR spectrometers are the gold standard in IR spectroscopy for materials testing, academia and research applications. The Spectrum 100S version demonstrates the highest sensitivity in its class enabling much faster measurement of even the most demanding samples such as highly absorbing or poorly reflecting materials.
