Short Description

The Bruker VERTEX 80 FTIR spectrometer is designed for advanced infrared spectroscopy and offers high-quality results with exceptional signal-to-noise ratios.
The standard configuration provides an apodized spectral resolution better than 0.2 cm⁻¹.

Research Services

Advanced infrared spectroscopy techniques available: Diffuse Reflectance Infrared Fourier Transform Spectroscopy, Infrared Reflection-Absorption Spectroscopy, Specular Reflectance, Attenuated Total Reflectance, and Transmission measurements.

Methods & Expertise for Research Infrastructure

This research infrastructure is used for a variety of infrared spectroscopic applications, including material characterization using diffuse reflectance techniques, investigation of the molecular orientation of monolayers via infrared reflection-absorption spectroscopy, and in situ monitoring of chemical reactions using a custom-built ATR cell.
