Open for Collaboration

Short Description

This is a compact, user-friendly Ti:Sapphire oscillator system producing mode-locked, wavelength-tunable laser pulses at 80 MHz repetition rate. The specified pulse duration is approx. 150 fs and the tuning range is 680 nm to 1080 nm. The output laser beam is TEM00 mode. The average mode-locked power is at least 1.5 W in the range 720 nm-900 nm. The pump diode is integrated. The laser system can be operated remotely with a GUI. The system is designed to perform pulse-shaping based quantum optics experiments on SPDC sources, solid-state emitters such semiconductor quantum dots, molecules, or defect centres. The laser light can be fiber-coupled to remote locations.

Research Services

Single-photon senstive photoluminescence, transient absorption, or pump-probe spectroscopy on semiconductor quantum dots, waveguides, defect centres, 2D materials etc. Quantum optics experiments with single or multiphoton states. Femtosecond pulse-shaping experiments for quantum coherent control.

Die Forschungsinfrastruktur ist "Open for Collaboration". Kommerzielle Kooperationen sind nicht möglich.

Methods & Expertise for Research Infrastructure

The laser system can be fiber-coupled or free-space guided to a cryostat system or a microscope to perform quantum optics spectroscopy experiments on solid-state quantum emitters such as quantum dots and defect centres, or guided to a nonlinear crystal to produce quantum states of light via spontaneous parametric down conversion. Depending on the specific use-case, it can be coupled to a pulse shaping device and high-resolution spectrometer or detector.

Terms of Use

The person must undergo laser safety training before using this equipment. Furthermore, the terms of use are defined within the framework of a scientific cooperation. No commercial use is possible. If you are interested in cooperation or collaboration, please contact us.
