Short Description

This core facility is formed by the research computers of the research groups of the Department of Computer Science. It includes the various servers of the research laboratories as well as the scientific computers and equipment at the workplaces of the researchers, but not administrative computers or computers of the student labs for teaching. Special equipment is also part of the core facility, such as satellite communication equipment, measuring equipment, sensors, robotics and similar. Also included is purchased scientific software.

This infrastructure, consisting of research computers and servers as well as scientific computers and software, serves the individual research groups for cooperation and joint research activities with the various partners in the field of scientific computing, robotics, satellite communication as well as oncology and cystology, just to name a few.

Methods & Expertise for Research Infrastructure

This core facility serves the research groups of the department, which include: Data Mining, Image Data Processing, Automatic Classification of Findings in Oncology and Cystology, Scientific Computing, Computational Sciences, Robotics, Natural Computing, Computational Geometry, Satellite Communications, Avionics, Automatic Proving.
