Short Description

The Langzauner thermoforming press LZT-OK-220-L is used for forming thermoplastic composites (organosheets). This downstroke press with four separately controllable press cylinders can apply forces of 2200 kN to the press table with the dimensions of 800 mm x 900 mm. The parallel clamping plates can hold tools with a total weight of up to 2,000 kg, which can be easily placed on the extendible transfer table. The maximum stroke is 700 mm with a clear span of 900 mm. Before forming, the sheets are heated to forming temperature via two infrared heating fields with a total output of 64 kW and are then transferred to the mold and automatically placed in less than 3 seconds using a mobile transport frame. The tools can either be heated to up to 350 ° C via the clamping plates or to over 500 ° C by means of additional heating with a total output of 13.2 kW for the direct-impregnation of high-temperature thermoplastics. An integrated oil temperature control unit ensures uniform temperature control and can also be used for cooling in direct-impregnation processes.
