Research Services
We offer high-quality, international longitudinal data for researchers in the fields of demographic change, employment, and health. Our data are collected personally and are subject to rigorous quality management, ranging from high standards in sampling to 100% follow-up verification of all surveys and examinations during the two-year survey period. Our data are compatible with AMDC registry research data and embedded in a system of international, comparable research data on health, well-being, and aging. For support with the analysis of SHARE data, you can schedule an appointment via email. We offer personal training sessions and seminars, in collaboration with partners, on the practical application of SHARE data. Within the framework of specific research projects, we conduct analyses based on SHARE data, either independently or with partners.
Methods & Expertise for Research Infrastructure
SHARE is Europe's largest social science panel study and has set new standards in research and scientific data collection. It has a global impact, not only because it covers all EU member states in a strictly harmonized manner, but also because it is embedded in a network of sister studies around the world, from the Americas to East Asia. SHARE aims to collect high-quality data for the scientific-empirical investigation of demographic change and the quality of life of the affected populations and to make it available to the scientific research community free of charge. This will enable the social and political adjustment processes caused by demographic change to be better managed with a view to maximizing the quality of life of the affected population, not least in order to maintain the high level of economic development in Austria and Europe despite the challenges posed by an aging society.
