Open for Collaboration

Short Description

MORE-TEM is a revolutionary new development platform for electron nanospectroscopy which can be seen as table top synchrotron. It is funded by the EU via an ERC-Synergy project. It is based on a modified JEOL ARM200F microscope with continuous upgrades regarding monochromator, and spectrometer (filter) by the cooperation partner CEOS. It also will be upgraded by a purpose built cryoholder allowing low temperature experiments down to LHe temperatures.

Research Services

MORE-TEM development platform is a joined EU international collaboration within an ERC-Project with continuous upgrades. Therefore the use is currently restricted to the collaboration partners until it is in full operation. Hence, currently there are no research services available.

Methods & Expertise for Research Infrastructure

Development platform with restricted usage until it is in full operation. Expert in nanospectrocopy inside a (Scanning)transmission electron spectroscopy (S)TEM, Expert in electron energy-loss spectroscopy (EELS) and electron optics development

Terms of Use

Since MORE-TEM development platform is a joined international collaboration within an EU funded ERC-Synergy-Project with continuous upgrades. The use is currently restricted to the collaboration partners until it is in full operation. However, in very specific cases of prototype samples Prof. Pichler can be contacted in order to check if the MORE-TEM in the actual development status is suitable and might be available for a few test experiments.
