Research Services
JKU Linz DMP Tool supports JKU researchers in the collaborative management of research data and code throughout the data lifecycle and helps them meet funding agencies’ requirements for DMPs. The tool guides users through all sections of a DMP by asking questions, suggesting answers, and providing helpful information. Relevant content already available in other JKU systems is automatically transferred to the tool.
As a result, the tool generates a document that can be customized and used for submission to European and national research funding agencies. Additionally, the tool complies with the RDA recommendations for machine-actionable DMPs and offers a JSON export.
Methods & Expertise for Research Infrastructure
The DMP Tool is based on the open-source software DAMAP (https://damap.org/). Users simply need to be familiar with their specific research project and the datasets that are to be produced or reused as part of the project.
