Short Description

In the tape laying cell, quasi-two-dimensional structures are built up from uni-directional fiber-reinforced thermoplastic tapes. The fiber orientation in the individual layers is usually different and selected in such a way that the finished product meets certain mechanical properties. During processing, the individual tapes are spot-welded together.
