Short Description

The IncuCyte S3 Live-Cell Analysis System enables time-resolved live-cell analyses over periods ranging from several days to weeks directly within a standard cell culture incubator at 37 °C and 5% CO₂. This setup allows continuous, non-invasive monitoring of cellular systems under physiologically relevant conditions without the need for repeated handling or endpoint measurements. The system provides detailed insights into key cellular parameters, including viability, morphology, proliferation, migration, and functional responses over time.

The instrument accommodates up to three plate holders with a total capacity of six microplates and is compatible with a wide range of standard formats, including 6-, 12-, 24-, 48-, 96-, and 384-well plates. This flexibility supports both low- and high-throughput experimental designs. Optically, the system is equipped with a motorized objective turret featuring 4×, 10×, and 20× objectives, enabling both overview imaging and high-resolution analysis.

In addition, the system includes two fluorescence channels (green/red optical module) for parallel detection of fluorescent markers. Image acquisition and data storage are handled by an integrated controller with a capacity of 27.3 TB, supporting long-term experiments with substantial data output. The Incucyte® S3 Base Software provides functionalities such as phase-based object counting and whole-well imaging. Furthermore, an optional fluorescence acquisition and processing module enables comprehensive analysis of fluorescence-based assays.
