Austrian BioImaging/CMI

Vienna | Website

Open for Collaboration

Kurzbeschreibung

Austrian BioImaging/CMI is an association of Austrian universities and leading research institutions, offering access to cutting-edge research infrastructures (RIs) in biological and preclinical imaging to researchers and the private sector, regardless of their affiliations. We are also the national node of Euro-BioImaging, a European Research Infrastructure Consortium (ERIC).

Our mission:
1. Providing open access to cutting-edge imaging technologies, driving innovation in life sciences and biomedicine
2. Fostering knowledge exchange and collaboration
3. Creating a platform that bridges academia and industry for transformative scientific progress

Austrian BioImaging/CMI offers a multitude of basic and high-end state-of-the-art imaging technologies from MRI to super-resolution microscopy as stand-alone technologies, numerous multimodal correlated imaging pipelines, and various support services, such as data and image analysis.

We offer access to imaging technologies that span the entire resolution range of interest for preclinical and biological studies, and provide complementary sample information about structure, function and molecular composition. The more than 40+ imaging techniques allow both in- and ex-vivo imaging and molecular analysis. Particularly, Austrian BioImaging/CMI is developing and setting up entirely new multimodal workflows at the forefront of correlated imaging, which can involve more than two imaging modalities and explicitly go beyond CLEM (Correlative Light and Electron Microscopy) and hybrid imaging.
