Kurzbeschreibung

The CytoFLEX-S System (B2-R2-V2-Y3, Beckman-Coulter) is a highly sensitivity flow cytometer/cell analyzer designed for multi-parametric analysis of microbial populations, single-cell characterization, and small particle detection. It is equipped with a 96-well plate loader allowing for automated analysis.

Methoden & Expertise zur Forschungsinfrastruktur

The CytoFLEX S System (B2-R2-V2-Y3) is a highly sensitivity flow cytometer designed for multi-parametric analysis of microbial populations, single-cell characterization, and small particle detection.

It is equipped with four excitation lasers:
1. Violet (405 nm),
2. Blue (488 nm)
3. Yellow-Green (561 nm)
4. Red (638 nm),
and 9 fluorescence detection channels.

The system also includes Violet Side Scatter (VSSC), which enhances small particle detection (<200 nm), allowing for the analysis of viruses, bacteriophages, extracellular vesicles (EVs), and other sub-micron particles.

Primary Applications in our lab is microbial cell and bacteriophage counting using fluorescent dyes such as SYBR® Green I.
Mounted to the Cytoflex-S is a 96-deep well plate-loader that allows for automatic sampling and analysis. Single tube (5 ml) measurements are also possible.

A mandatory hands-on training session (~2 hours) is required before independent use of the device. Ongoing support is available throughout experiments as needed.
