IT:U LearnLabs are enabling spaces where IT:U students study digital technology in small groups following a project-based education concept. The data lab DORO enables students to experiment with a variety of sensors, from seismographs to weather stations to sky cameras, and master challenges along the data analytics chain from transfer to storage to cleaning to analyzing and modeling with machine learning methods on powerful GPU units.

The IT:U LearnLabs are operated and maintained by doctoral and senior postdoctoral researchers and lecturers on a permanent basis. The staff of the LearnLab DORO is experienced in all stages of the data analytics chain, as well as in machine learning techniques for advanced analytics tasks.
