Methods & Expertise for Research Infrastructure
Sequential excitation with four lasers (405 nm, 488 nm, 561 nm and 638 nm) and detection across 15 fluorescence channels enable highly sensitive multiparametric analysis. The system provides excellent resolution and is particularly well suited to the detection of small particles. Using the violet side-scatter signal, nanoparticles as small as 100 nm can be detected and sorted. The sorter supports collection into 5 mL and 15 mL tubes, microscope slides, and 96- or 384-well plates. Up to four cell populations can be sorted simultaneously into tubes, and pool, single-cell and index sorting are supported. Samples and collection vessels can optionally be maintained at controlled temperatures between 5 °C and 37 °C.
