Research Services

The electronic lab notebook of JKU is freely available to all members of the university and is primarily used for the documentation of research work, teaching activities and other administrative tasks under recognized scientific methods and principles (e.g. FAIR). External institutions and individuals can be granted access to the system upon request within the framework of cooperation agreements. If you are interested, please contact the person listed.

Methods & Expertise for Research Infrastructure

The infrastructure is based on the free and open source solution of the electronic laboratory notebook eLabFTW, which is made available to all members (employees and students) of JKU. The ELN supports researchers in the area of data stewardship in the organization of research data, effective documentation and backup in connection with metadata and tools for collaborative work. eLabFTW not only facilitates access to research data, but also simplifies the process of publishing data. Furthermore, it also simplifies compliance with the requirements of relevant funding agencies and data management plans (DMPs).
