Short Description

The available RF measurement technology and EDA software in the laboratory include:
- E4432B – Programmable RF vector signal generator up to 3 GHz
- N1996A – Spectrum analyzer up to 6 GHz
- R3765CG – Vector network analyzer up to 3.8 GHz
- 54833A – RF oscilloscope 1 GHz/2 channels
- ESMB – Monitoring receiver up to 3 GHz
- NRP-Z91 – Power sensor 9 kHz to 6 GHz
- NRP-Z11 – Power sensor 10 MHz to 8 GHz
- ADS – Advanced Design System
- 89601A – Vector signal analysis software
- as well as general laboratory equipment

The area of air traffic control technology is primarily covered by a reception system for aeronautical signals and a training radar system.

Research Services

Capture and processing of aeronautical signals in the fields of navigation, communication, and surveillance. Design and testing of electronic aircraft systems.

Methods & Expertise for Research Infrastructure

The laboratory for avionics and air traffic control technology serves both the practical training of students and its use in applied research and development. As part of the aviation program, practical exercises for the courses in electrical engineering, communications engineering, measurement technology, as well as avionics and air traffic control technology are conducted here. Current research projects and contract work are also carried out in this laboratory.
