Short Description
This WMO-compliant automated weather station provides high-precision, continuous monitoring of meteorological parameters.
The core data management unit handles real-time data acquisition and secure storage. The unit supports versatile connectivity via 3G/4G or Ethernet for remote data transmission.
The system is mounted on a 2-meter telescopic crank mast.
The station features a comprehensive array of sensors:
- Atmospheric & Wind: A heated ultrasonic sensor for accurate wind speed and direction, paired with an integrated Class-A barometer.
- Temperature & Humidity: A sensor protected by a radiation shield.
- Precipitation: A heated tipping bucket rain gauge .
- Radiation & Soil: A pyranometer for global radiation measurements and a sensor for precise ground temperature monitoring.

Methods & Expertise for Research Infrastructure
The station allows the collection of long-term monitoring of meteorological parameters. It is installed in Heuberg, one of the monitoring stations of the eTLER RI site Lehrforst Rosalia.
