Short Description

BioSorter® (Union Biometrica) is a large-particle flow cytometer enabling sorting and analysis of objects ranging from 10-750 micrometers. Samples can be sorted based on their size (Time Of Flight), density (Extinction) and fluorescence. Samples are sorted into any standard multiwell plate, 15 and 50ml tubes or into custom defined collector vessels. Samples can be loaded from a 50ml tube, syringe pump or directly from a multiwell plate using the LP sampler extension. Sorting takes place in any solvent of choice. The device is particularly designed for fragile and sensitive samples. All unsorted samples are collected in the solvent of choice for further use. Each dispensed sample is accompanied by detailed features list in form of an excel sheet. Typical samples include cell clusters (spheroids, organoids), multicellular models (C.elegans, D.melanogaster), beads and particles (gel beads, printed scaffolds, microscpheres).
