Short Description

The flat film coextrusion line from Collin Lab & Pilot Solutions GmbH can be used to extrude three-layer polymer films (layer structure A/B/A) or two-layer films using the roll stack process (layer structure A/B). The line is composed of two single-screw extruders, the main extruder for the middle layer with a screw diameter of 25 mm and the co-extruder with a screw diameter of 20 mm. The melt streams are combined to form a multi-layer flow using a feed block, from which the multi-layer flow is fed into a slot die. The slot die enables the extrusion of the multi-layer film with a width up to 250 mm. The stack rolls are used for surface casting, cooling and further transportation of the extruded film. Finally, the multi-layer film is wound up with a winder.
