Short Description

The UC7 is a high-precision microtome to efficiently cut semi-thin, thin and ultra-thin resin sections for light microscopy, transmission electron microscopy and NanoSIMS analysis amongst others.

Methods & Expertise for Research Infrastructure

The Ultramicrotome is essential for imaging and analytical methods using resin embedded cells and tissues. The critical samples preparation methods, chemical at room temperature or high-pressure freezing are well established in the core facility. Training, Teaching, Support or Service is provided by expert staff.

- compulsory lab safety induction
- setting up of a user and project account on the booking platform
- induction and training at the microscope
- payment of hourly service charges
