Treibacher Industrie AG offers a truly comprehensive approach to thermal spray materials and coatings development. In addition to our wide range of development and manufacturing technologies, we now have the capability to develop, produce and evaluate thermal spray coatings in-house to support your product development.

At our new state-of-the-art Thermal Spray Center in Althofen we are equipped to spray both powders and suspensions.
Our capabilities include:

• Automated grit blasting and spraying with 6-axis robot and external spindle
• 100HE™ plasma system
• 3MB plasma system
• 9MB plasma system
• Axial III™ plasma system
• F4 plasma system
• SG-100 plasma system
• SinplexPro™ plasma system
• Gravimetric powder feeder
• Disk-type powder feeder
• LiquiFeederHE™ suspension feeder
• NanoFeed™ 350 suspension feeder
• Accuraspray G3C in-flight particle diagnostics
• Measurement of coating surface temperature

Research Services

Our experienced technicians and application engineers will assist you in the planning and operation of your thermal spray experiments. In addition to our plasma spray capabilities, we can also provide the following characterization methods:

• Measurement of particle temperature and velocity
• Shadowgraphy of the injection zone
• Deposition efficiency according to DIN EN ISO 17836
• Optical and scanning-electron microscopy
• Chemical and phase analytics
• Hardness tests according to DIN EN ISO 4516
• Thermal conductivity in coating systems
• Coefficient of thermal expansion
• Thermal cycling from room temperature up to 1600°C (2900°F

Your project can be further supported by our expertise in upscaling new materials from the lab scale to production.

Methoden & Expertise zur Forschungsinfrastruktur

Treibacher is a technology and market leader in Suspension Plasma Spray materials and a high level niche powder supplier for Atmospheric Plasma Spray processes. We have demonstrated repeated success in our ability to develop novel plasma-spray coatings. We have been working on APS and SPS coatings with large global OEMs in the aerospace and electronics sector, helping to develop new generations of aero engines and semiconductor manufacturing equipment. We are constantly exploring new materials and applications for this exciting technology.

Nutzungsbedingungen

Materials manipulation and operation of the Thermal Spray Center will be done by our team. We also offer the option to attend the coating process in person.
