The European Strategy Forum on Research Infrastructures (ESFRI) is a strategic and advisory body that provides guidance and promotes the development of research infrastructures across Europe.

ESFRI was established in 2002 by the Council of Ministers of the European Union. The aim of ESFRI is to identify and prioritise pan-European research infrastructures of strategic importance and to support their development through a roadmap process.

ESFRI has a crucial role in the coordination and cooperation between European countries, research organisations and stakeholders involved in the development and operation of research infrastructures.
