Short Description

The AT960‑MR is a portable laser tracker system for the high‑accuracy acquisition of 3D coordinates on large parts, assemblies and installations.

Key specifications: angular accuracy ±15 µm + 6 µm/m (ISO 10360‑10), distance accuracy ±0.5 µm/m, length measurement error (MPE) ±64 µm at 5 m and ±191 µm at 20 m, data output up to 1000 Hz. The unit weighs 14.2 kg, is IP54‑rated, battery‑ and WiFi‑capable (operating temperature 0–40 °C) and features a levelling function (OTG), an overview camera and automatic beam re‑establishment (PowerLock). Calibration is carried out in accordance with ISO 17025.

The Absolute Scanner AS1 extends the system with non‑contact digitisation of surfaces. The blue laser line scanner is tracked by the laser tracker in six degrees of freedom. It captures up to 1.2 million points per second at a maximum line frequency of 300 Hz, with a scan line width of 150 mm and a stand‑off distance of 165 ± 50 mm; scanning accuracy is ±60 µm (P_SIZE) and ±50 µm (length measurement). SHINE technology enables scanning of surfaces ranging from matte black to highly reflective, as well as carbon fibre, without matting spray. The scanner weighs 0.43 kg, is certified to ISO 10360‑10 and can alternatively be mounted on a portable measuring arm.

Typical applications include actual‑to‑nominal comparisons against CAD models, inspection of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T), reverse engineering, the measurement and alignment of machines, plant and fixtures, deformation and position measurements, as well as automated, robot‑guided inspection tasks. Data evaluation is performed in common metrology software platforms.
